Those with plans to fly in, out or through Houston, will likely experience a cancellation or delay.

Consumer expert Amy Davis checked with all of the major airlines to show you how to rebook and which airlines have the best policies to help you regroup after this weather event.

United Airlines said it is waiving fees for passengers who have to change flights. This only affects flights leaving on or before Saturday.

United said the flight must be rescheduled between the same cities.

Southwest Airlines flights on Tuesday and Wednesday out of Houston have been canceled. They can be reschedule within 14 days for no extra fees, or you can get a refund for your canceled flight.

American Airlines will waive change fees if you were scheduled to fly Tuesday and you can travel by Jan.20. You cannot change your origin or destination city.

If you wish not to reschedule your Delta flight as a result of a flight cancellation or significant delay of 90 minutes or more, you are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of your ticket. Even if your flight is not canceled, you may make a one-time change to your ticket without fee if you are scheduled to fly out in or out of Houston on Tuesday. Your ticket must be reissued and you must begin travel by Saturday. Read all of the conditions and restrictions here.

Spirit Airlines issued a travel advisory Tuesday. Travelers scheduled to fly to, from or through Houston can rebook their flights through Saturday with no no fees or fare price difference.

If you rebook for a flight leaving after Saturday, you won't be charged a change fee (or what Spirit calls a "modification charge"), but you will have to pay for any difference in the cost of the new flight.

Frontier Airlines travel advisory allows customers to get a full refund for canceled flights. If you want to reschedule, your travel must be completed by Jan. 29, but you can change your destination and not be hit with any extra fees for rebooking.
